  • If either member if Championship status and the other is not, then go to Pre-Champ
  • If either member is Novice or Pre-Champ and the other is Star Grade (level 1 to 4), then go to Novice
  • If either member is Pre-Champ and the other is Novice, then go to Pre-Champ
  • If both are Star Grade then
    • In the case of one level difference, take the higher grade
    • In the case of two level difference, then take the middle grade
  • Note : Status points are earned by a partnership and not by an individual. New partnerships start on zero points.

Unrecognised Dance Structures/Organisations

(Section 4.A)

1. Any association, club, studio, school, university or any other structure having any connection to, or relationship with amateur dance sport, which is formed without the consent of FEDANSA or the regional member having jurisdiction over the area concerned, shall be deemed to be an unrecognised structure.

2. Any person, club, studio, school, university or association having any connection to, or membership with any connection to, or membership with any such unrecognised structure shall be guilty of misconduct and shall be refused participation in all amateur dance sport under the jurisdiction of FEDANSA and all of its members and their affiliated until such time as such person, club, studio, school, university or association is no longer a member of such recognised structure.

3. No person, club, studio, school, university or association shall be allowed to become a member of FEDANSA or it's members and affiliates if such person, club, studio, school, university or association is a member of an unrecognised structure.

In accordance with IDSF policy, couples are strongly advised that if they compete in any unrecognised competitions (ie competitions not organised or recognised by FEDANSA), they will lose their membership of FEDANSA, and thus may be stopped from competing in any country in the IDSF World Sporting System
